As i have tried to explain in This Episode, The Application field of EVS vision sesnors are quite vast and this sensor can be applied on many applications where there is lack of illumination or the threshold of the light intensity on the vision sensor pixels needs to be adjusted in order to triger the signal. therefore you can use this type of sensor when your object is moving or the environment is dynamic. Unlike the traditional CMOS sensors which are have statics threshold, EVS have a dynamic defined signal generating thresholds. Therfore recognition of Objects edges even in dark areas are much easier that the counter parts. Thgis can lead to detect objects with out strong illumination on the conveying belts for example. Or detecting the pedestarion on the foot in the streets using Autonomous Vehicles or Applying it on fast and small drones for higher manuvaribility to avoid obstacles in darker areas and etc.
The rate of data transfer also significantly reduces and the speed of processing increases. Its important to mention the lowering the amount of power to process the data using EVS cameras and low sensitivity to to the lack of environment illumination.
The way that these Sensors work is very similar to the human eyes therefor its called neuromorphic Cameras or vision sensors.
Is there any EVS available in the market? Yes!
